Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely credited with beginning the current science-based study of children's eyewitness memory and child victims as witnesses in court situations. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers, received many grants and been recognized with numerous national and international prizes. She works with a variety of governments and agencies across the globe regarding policy and the research of child abuse in the justice system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the President of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
